HOSTING CAN BE HIGHLY TECHNICAL

Hosting is often the very first step in setting up a site. One of the most common questions we get asked by clients setting up new websites is “What hosting should I get?”.  It might sound simple but if you are looking for hosting and like a lot of us don’t understand the numbers it can be very confusing. Hosting is important as its one of the primary factors in determining how fast a site operates. Meaning a good host equals a speedy site. In this article, I will give you 4 basic things to look for when looking for a new host & a quick cheat sheet to help you pick the right package for you.

What’s a server?

A server is a physical computer where a website lives. The server delivers files to site visitors when they type a URL (web) address. A website needs a host just like a house needs land.
